Bob Handley is an orthopaedic trauma surgeon based at the John Radcliffe Hospital in Oxford and has been a consultant since 1994.
His clinical work is as a full-time orthopaedic trauma surgeon in a consultant delivered service. In Oxford, clinical practice has developed in such a way that musculoskeletal problems related to injury are treated separately from those with a degenerative or developmental cause. Bob's clinical practice is solely related to dealing with patients who have problems as a consequence of injury.
His medicolegal practice has been mainly dealing with personal injury. However, with his increasing clinical experience and role as a teacher and examiner, Bob has taken on more clinical negligence cases relating to orthopaedic trauma.
