Ibrar Majid qualified in medicine from The University of London in 2001.
He underwent orthopaedic training in London, Leicester, and Manchester and obtained his FRCS in 2012. He completed his specialist training in Paediatric Orthopaedics at the Royal Manchester Children’s Hospital and Alder Hey Children’s Hospital, and supplemented this with a prestigious British Orthopaedic Association/Royal College of Surgeons of England Travelling Fellowship to the International Centre for Limb Lengthening, Baltimore, Maryland USA.
Ibrar was appointed as Consultant Paediatric Orthopaedic Surgeon in 2015. His practice encompasses the full spectrum of children's orthopaedics with a special interest in limb reconstruction and trauma. In addition he has strong interest in international health and is currently chairman of a multinational health NGO.
