Tim Chesser was appointed as a Trauma and Orthopaedic Surgeon at North Bristol NHS Trust in 2000. He has helped run the South West Pelvic and Acetabular Fracture service and the local trauma unit since that time.
His interests include lower limb reconstruction, hip fractures, pelvic and acetabular fractures. He is involved in national and international research projects.
He is Chair of the NICE clinical guideline and expert topic group for Hip Fractures, BOA representative for the National Hip Fracture Database, board member for the Falls and Fragility Fracture Audit Project and is the current President of the Orthopaedic Trauma Society. Tim is a former chair of the BOA Trauma group,
His publications are on a wide range of trauma topics including outcomes in trauma, hip fractures, pelvic and acetabular fractures, qualitative research and biomechanics.
He also holds an International Rally Drivers Licence and has fun in a Mark 1 1969 Escort.
