At the core of this IMPACT Services Survey is the need to encourage and coordinate collaboration between hospitals,
regions, and national audit programmes.
SORT-IT seek to provide a mechanism to share experience of
our clinical situations, discuss the impact of COVID19 on hip fracture services and T&O services,
collaborate on urgent research/audit, and discuss strategies to mitigate disruption.
About the Services Survey
Online survey auditing the impact of COVID-19 on Trauma & Orthopaedic services
Assesses the global impact of COVID-19 on Trauma & Elective Orthopaedic services
Identifies strategies for mitigation of disruption secondary to COVID-19
Identifies strategies for planning and delivering T&O services post-COVID-19
T&O units are encouraged to appoint a dedicated senior clinician / service manager
Findings will be analysed and shared with participants, and published in the literature
The anonymity of participating individuals and hospitals will be ensured

The Survey is being hosted on Survey Monkey, and is open for submissions.
The IMPACT Services Survey is part of a multi-faceted ’suite’ of collaborative research/audit projects being delivered by the Scottish Orthopaedic Research Trust
into Trauma (SORT-IT - a research charity based in the Royal Infirmary of Edinburgh), the Scottish Hip
Fracture Audit (SHFA), and the Scottish Government.
