A note from the FFN team –

Dear Colleagues, We are delighted to welcome you to the Fragility Fracture Network European Congress, taking place in Edinburgh, UK, from 8-10 October 2026. 

This year’s theme, “Injury to Independence: Comprehensive Care for Fragility Fractures,” reflects our collective commitment to advancing the care of fragility fractures through international collaboration, strengthened organisational strategies, leadership in orthogeriatric practice, and the dissemination of best clinical approaches. As we gather to exchange knowledge, share experiences, and forge stronger partnerships, we hope this Congress will act as a catalyst for innovation and progress-further uniting a network of experts and building on the excellent work already underway across Europe and beyond. Alongside the scientific programme, we also invite you to discover the rich history, cultural heritage, and vibrant atmosphere of Edinburgh, with its renowned architecture, culinary offerings, and warm hospitality.

The Fragility Fracture Network invites submissions for symposium proposals for the 2026 Congress in Edinburgh, 8-10 October 2026.

Symposia will run as concurrent sessions throughout the main conference.

A call for Symposium Proposal

Symposium description

 Symposia should address one or more of the core areas within the FFN Pillars and be relevant to individuals who have sustained any type of fragility fracture:

• Acute multidisciplinary care
• Rehabilitation and ongoing post-acute care
• Rapid secondary prevention after a first fracture to prevent future fractures
• Transforming healthcare through a policy lens

The focus of your proposed symposium should be informed by one or more of the following:

• Evidence published or presented in a peer-reviewed format
• A quality-improvement initiative with relevance beyond the local setting (e.g., across organisations or countries)
• Outcomes from an implementation strategy, such as regional or national practice change that has delivered measurable benefits for patients or health systems
